Driving Skills Assessment Report (DSAR)

Our one-hour Driving Skills Assessment Report (DSAR) is designed for individuals whose medical, physical, or neurological conditions may affect their ability to drive safely.

Conducted by trained driving professionals, the assessment includes a comprehensive behind-the-wheel evaluation focused on essential driving skills, including reaction time, coordination, attention, visual awareness, decision-making, and judgment.

DSAR evaluations may be particularly beneficial for individuals experiencing changes related to stroke, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, vision or hearing loss, physical limitations, or other neurological conditions that may affect driving performance.

Based on the assessment findings, we may provide recommendations such as additional driver training, adaptive driving equipment, vehicle modifications, or consideration of alternative transportation options.

When appropriate, we can work collaboratively with healthcare providers, caregivers, and family members to help ensure that the assessment process is respectful, thorough, and focused on the individual’s safety, mobility, and independence.
